$36,682 - $64,194 The Administrative Support Unit is integral in most areas that fall under the Customer Compliance Services section, including but not limited to Administrative Hearings, MVR Merging & Analysis Unit, Record's Integrity, Medical Review, and Motor Vehicle Dealers Hearings.
This position is responsible for processing hearing requests, collecting hearing fees, scheduling hearings, mapping hearing request, processing refunds, rejecting under payments, receiving and processing written or electronic inquiries from the general public, attorneys, and government officials.
This position also reviews and interprets the driving record and applies North Carolina General Statutes.
This position also transcribes administrative hearings at the request of the Attorney General's Office.
Applicants must have a North Carolina Driver License with no active points and no suspensions or revocations in the last ten years.
Applicant subject to criminal background/motor vehicle record check Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies Knowledge of collecting fees, balance a cash drawer and making electronic deposits.
Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and apply North Caroline General Statutes.
Administrative rules, and departmental policies and procedures to the facts in each case to make decisions.
Demonstrated ability of computer experience skills and experience using Microsoft Office, (Word) (Excel) and (Scan) documents.
Knowledge of entering and extracting information from mainframe and web-based computer systems and applications.
Demonstrated ability providing customer service by phone and/or in person to a diverse clientele.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
